This Thursday, my colleague Vincent and I are attending our first job fair of 2018. This particular event is organized by Thomas More, part of KU Leuven which is Belgium’s highest rated university. The fair targets students that will graduate this summer, and aims to link them with employers.

We have been preparing various presentations on our flagship testing products DataMatch and TestMatch. We will also talk about what it means to work as a young software developer in a professional, high technology setting, covering topics such as test driven development, SCRUM, DEVOPS, etc.

While introducing Anubex, we can of course not forgo talking about the technical challenges our line of business requires: automatically converting legacy technologies requires not only knowledge of modern technologies and development techniques. It also requires keen interest and insight into the low-level techniques and design patterns used by those legacy technologies.

Needless to say, we look forward to having the opportunity of going out and talking with these young students, explain what we do and how we do it, but most of all: to learn what drives and interests them!
