What does the Factory require?

To perform the migration of the legacy application, the Factory needs to receive all its source code (programming and scripting, including the screens) adhering to specific delivery standards, and the associated data structure definitions. The migration tools typically have extensive means for parameterization, which is an additional input to the Factory that steers the actual migration.

To be able to test the applications in the Factory (smoke and technical testing) so-called traces recording representative user activities and test data need to be delivered. Based on these the application is tested. Where needed the migration tools are updated, and the tests re-run.

What does the Factory deliver?

Together with the migrated application (all source code, database migration) the Factory produces a testing report (QA) illustrating the quality of the migrated application.
